Soy Wax Candles

Most of our figure candles are made to be a decorative piece for your house, but in case you want to light them, especially the scented pieces, please follow our following recommendations.

Please understand that we have tested every type of our candles, burn and wick test, however as each is individually handmade they may burn slightly different when lit.

First Burn

The first time you light our candles, please trim the wick 1/4.

Don't burn your candle until it has completely cooled. Then, trim again the wick before light it again. Untrimmed wicks lead to popping, smoking, and soot.

Light your candle in a well-ventilated room, away from drafts or fans, which can cause sooting, uneven burning.

While Burning

Don't leave your candle unattended when lit! If you are going to leave your house or room, please be sure to extinguish the candle first.

Keep it away from children and pets.

Don't burn your candle close to anything that can catch fire and keep it away from furniture, clothes, books and paper, flammable decoration, etc. Please burn it safely!

General Safety

Put your figure candle in a tray when you burn them.
Place your candle on a flat surface and don't leave it unattended when lit.
Trim your wick in the first burn and each burn.
Keep candles far from children and pets.

Homeware

Why does your jesmonite product have air bubbles?

Due to the nature of the material and making process there may be some air bubbles on our products, but we try our best to limit these as much as possible. With all products being handmade this isn’t always guaranteed.

Everything is made to order or done in small quantities by hand to reduce waste, so slight variations in colours and patterns may occur within the same product listing. We do try our best to keep everything as close as possible but it really emphasis the handmade and unique nature of the products.

Is the product waterproof?

All our products are sealed with a food safe, solvent free, non-toxic sealer making it water-repellant, not waterproof.

Is the product food-safe?

Food-safe means it can come in contact with food and not create a food-safety hazard. Although our products are sealed with a food-safe sealer, they are not meant to eat food off of.

Is the product dishwasher / microwave friendly?

Although our products are sealed with a sealer making it water-resistant, they are not dishwasher or microwave friendly.

Custom Orders

Do you accept custom orders?

We do indeed! If you see something you like, but would prefer it in a custom colour to better suit your interior we are more than happy to try and make it for you. Just contact us on social media or send us an email at koyori.kollective@gmail.com

Please keep in mind that custom orders/surprises take longer for us to produce, can’t be cancelled or returned and are excluded from any discounts and/or promotions.

Shipping & Returns

What are the shipping costs?

Shipping methods and costs vary per country and are calculated during checkout. When an order is delivered internationally, it may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and/or fees imposed (e.g. handling fees) by the destination country. These charges are typically due once the package arrives in the destination country.

Please note: The buyer is responsible for paying any additional costs such as duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees. These charges can vary widely and are often based on the price and type of item, package weight and dimensions, origin country, and the taxes, duties, and fees of the destination country. These charges are non-refundable, meaning they will not be refunded in case of a return.

Returns and refunds

Due the nature of the handmade product, we cannot accept returns. However, if your candle arrives broken or damaged, please contact us in the first 2 days of delivery.
